Gingrich Promises to Crash the Global Economy and Sink the World into Depression

March 14th, 2012

How is that? Simple.

Gingrich claims he can bring the price of gas down to $2.50 a gallon.

Experts say that this is only possible if oil prices drop from $126 a barrel to $50 a barrel.

The experts also say that “Only a depression would bring oil prices down that much.”

Gingrich claims that he can achieve this through drilling, but the experts retort that it just ain’t so–no amount of drilling in the U.S. can move the oil markets that much.

So, either Gingrich is lying, or he’s planning to crash the world economy. Frankly, I think he’s lying, and would unintentionally crash the world economy. But that’s just me.

We want the precious but we can’t afford it.

$4 gas is a signal. Too much demand and not enough (over)-supply.

Back in the late 1980s when gas got dirt-cheap Alaska was peaking and didn’t have anywhere to send their oil but to the west coast of the US (the Chinese easily had 1/10th of the demand they do now).

The US still runs 3 trillion vehicles miles a year:

we’d like to run more maybe but $4 gas has a way of forcing people to economize.

‘course, so did $3 gas 6 years ago and $2 gas 10 years ago, LOL.

    How about those primaries!

“In Mississippi, 83 percent of the electorate describes themselves as evangelicals while in Alabama that number is 79 percent. These numbers are from early exit polling and could, of course, shift somewhat.”

It appears Gingrich won’t get the chance to destroy the world’s economy, as George Bush did. He just got sweapted in Alabama and Mississippi. So, he’s history. Unfortunately, the not Romney vote is all going to go to Santorum, who is also nuts.

Giving Utah and Paul’s EVs to Romney, the latter needs 42% of the remaining EVs — 561 –to avoid a (more) brokered convention.

My excel spreadsheet SWAGs Romney might end up with 1100 delegates, 44 short, but Paul’s 127 would put him over, plus since Romney is the establishment candidate the conventioneers would probably swing the thing even without Paul’s bloc.

FWIW, it predicts Romney clearing 560 more delegates, 450 going to Santorum, 170 to the G-Man, and 60 to Dr Paul.

I don’t know if this is a clown show or a train wreck. Do they want the capitalist/cultist, the theocrat, the shithead from the 1990s, or the libertarian nutter.

Why choose. This is a clownshow on a wheels.
