Idiots
I can’t believe this. A commercial site, a business, a travel agency, is actually hotlinking to one of my China travel photos (the one at the bottom of the page). If they simply ripped off the image and hosted it on their own site, I would never have noticed. But the cheap idiots are hotlinking, actually using the image as it appears on my site. That’s thieving! Will these people never learn? Specifically, will they never learn that a hotlinked image is controlled by the site where it is hosted? And they just happened to hotlink to an image which I just happened to change, purely for the use on my own site. If it happens to blend in with their own page, then that’s their own damn fault for putting it there. Nothing to do with me.
Update: Skaah alerted me to the fact that the hotlinker finally saw the image swap–it took about a week for that to happen. Now the web site is, as Skaah points out, hotlinking to yet another image, this time on a professional photographer’s site. I’m sending the site owner a message warning him of what’s going on.
In the meantime, here’s a link to an image of the page when it was hotlinked to my altered image!
I really admire your sense of humor, Luis.
beauty!
Bwahahahahaha… great revenge!

Ha ha ha … good one! Glad I caught this one in time!
A day later, it’s still there. They hotlink, and don’t check up on things. What morons.
They changed the image, now they are hotlinking to another website.
