Tweaking, Part III
May 19th, 2009
Okay, most of the graphics issues have been taken care of, but a few remain (I have to fill out the Blogroll, and fix that footer). I have also reworked the LinkBoard to remove outdated links and add new links to sites I frequent more than I did the last time I changed the board, a few years back. Getting close to wrapping it all up.
The new blog is looking good!
Font is tiny—-i mean like size 5.
Matthew: Admittedly, the font size (12px) is smaller than my last theme–but when I try to make it appear closer to the old size (16px), it starts looking humungous on my own computer. Don’t know why that might be. I increased the size as much as I could (13px). How does it look now?
Anyone else notice too-small font sizes?
I like it…Your Engrish link is still off though.
Oops! Thanks for the reminder! Fixed it. Reload and it should work now.
It is better now but still looks like a wall of text on my mac.
Oh well–do what you got to do. Make it to your likings–I can adjust on my end.
Just so you know, on my EeePC (with 800×480) display, your comments are aligned too far left and are cut off on that side. The other comments are cut off on the right. The text entry box is also wider than what is displayed on my screen.
The right sidebar is also narrower than the linkboard graphic on my display.
Now the color is off–a blur of shocking white and pale grey. Not pleasing to my eyes.
K.: I realize that some stuff will get cut off on smaller screens; sorry about that. I had not thought about netbooks, but am not sure that I want to redesign the site to account for that class of computer… I wish they had a ‘netbook version’ plug-in like they have a version that switches views for touch-screen cell phones like Android and iPhone.
I was wondering when you were going to remove my site from your linkboard. 😉
I’ll be shutting down my blog soon anyways…
