Life Birds, Japan

August 31st, 2005

I figured it was time to go through my records and figure out how many birds I’ve photographed, total, in Japan. Although there have been some uncertain identifications and I probably have got a few more than I counted, but officially, the count stands at 75. This does not count the birds I’ve identified by their calls alone, or birds I’ve spotted but not photographed. Here’s the list. About half are water birds, but I feel short on the passerine (perching or land birds) side; I have to find out where I can get to see more.
