Voters may be too embarrassed to vote Republican in November
Not that they shouldn’t have been embarrassed just as much in ’04, it’s just that this year’s Republican salad bar has blemishes and rat droppings far more commonly seen as repugnant. It’s easier for conservatives to be embarrassed by the Republican leadership covering up for and effectively enabling a sexual predator of teenage boys than it is to be embarrassed about a president who lies to the public and drives us into a war that kills hundreds of thousands of people, weakens our military, and makes us into an international pariah.
Such are the sensibilities of the right wing.
I don’t understand why a few emails to a page could should effect an election when there are so many other issues that face the country, which are more important.
Also, I understand that also in question is how some other member of congresses dealt with this before it was public. History has shown that both the Democrat and Republican lawmakers sweep this stuff under the carpet when it is not public. They never expose it. It is always the press that exposes.
So what’s the big deal?
