Bush in 30 Seconds

January 8th, 2004

Okay, you have got to see this.

Go to http://www.bushin30seconds.org/ to see a competition, sponsored by MoveOn.org, to create commercials to convince the people of the United States not to elect Bush in 2004. Many of the commercials are extremely clever and well-produced, some are outright hilarious–and some are too chillingly real. Celebrity judges to decide the winners include Jack Black, Michael Moore, Donna Brazile, Gus Van Sant, Al Franken, Margaret Cho, and Moby. (“Moby”?) Definitely a lot of strong contenders in there, and most, in my opinion, are much better than the professionally produced political ads you see on TV.

Go ahead. Check it out. Well worth the time, trust me.

Boy, that would be quite a speech if he gave it. Don’t know about the disarming the entire military thing, but the edited version certainly speaks a lot of truth. More truth than ever came out of his mouth without digital transposition, to be sure.
