I looked at the first pair and said “Wait! They demolished an intact house! Why?” Then I understood – the house was washed in from some other place.
The extent of damage really is mindnumbing…
Yep. More so when you realize the breadth of the coastline that was buried under the wave. Multiply the images you see by, well, who knows how much. But a lot.
