Eyelid Twitchers Anonymous
Sorry, the forum is broken–I think my web host is rather covetous of processor time, and they tend to throw up roadblocks. I will get this back online as soon as I can, but it may be a bit. Apologies!
And with the list of comments now climbing over 40, I’ve decided to start a forum. What the heck.
This all started from my fourth post on this blog, where I briefly mentioned I had an eyelid twitch. I get ’em from time to time, and at the very start of this blog, I was just looking for something to post. Well, not many people do that apparently because I soon hit the top of the search engine lists for Eyelid Twitching, and today I’m the #1 Google hit for that. Must be that there’s not any money in it, or the spammers would be all over it by now.
After a few months, I started noticing that the eyelid posts were becoming the most viewed on my site, so I decided to do a little research, added a bit of humor, and made a slightly more informative post. There are now 400 visitors a week for that one post. That’s the one with 40 or so comments–and in the last week or so I’ve gotten 3 comments a day on it.
So I broke down and reworked that discussion forum that I never finished for the blog, making it for eyelid twitching, and it is now active. Anyone can sign up and post; registration requires a working email address, but it can be any old junk email account if you want. There are areas for General Chat, Resources & Links, Horror Stories, and Cures. So come by and visit, maybe we can get a resource going. Lord knows there must be millions of us suffering intermittently from the darned annoyance.
(Recent comments suggest sex as a cure–woo hoo!)

After 48 consecutive hours of twitching I tried the various suggestions in the blog. I also tried Chicken Soup, an old family remedy for whatever. Today, marvelously, after a round of golf, the twitch had practically disappeared, and was hardly visible. But a few hours later it was back at full strength, and continues as of now(72 hours).
My internist says do nothing, and my opthomologist concurs, but that didn’t stop her from giving me an expensive “field” test to check for “neurological” eye problems.
We’ll see what the next few days bring. Continuing with no caffeine; banana; chicken soup; sleep; vitamin supplements.

I have had eye twitching and body twitching for several years…just lately, though…I’ve been taking GNC coral calcium, B12, Magnesium and a Megavitamin for men…I’ve also increased my water intake…my twitching has lessened…it’s quite remarkable…give me an e-mail and I’ll let you know what dosage I’m using.
