New Sunset Photos

October 14th, 2003

This morning was cloudy, and by early afternoon, rain was just pouring down. But around 3:00 pm or so, the rain stopped and the sun came shining through. The sky really looked spectacular, and so just before sunset, I booked on down to the river to see if good sunset photos might be taken. And it was brilliant, a beautiful sunset. The photos below are only resized in their original aspect ration, and are not retouched in any way.

These photos are best viewed in a larger size, so I have made each one link to an 800 x 600 version. Enjoy.

Before the sun had really set; the clouds were still amazing. The photos don’t do justice, really.

A lot of people were enjoying the view, including this couple on the river grass.

You can barely see it in this small version, but that’s a cloud-capped Mt. Fuji in the lower-left corner there. Click on the image to see it better in the larger version.

This one I call the “Monster” picture–looks like part of a monster’s head peering out from behind some clouds.

I’ll be back with more photos from this shoot in the next day or so.
